Introducing unitaryDESIGN - Save the Date!

Unitary Foundation is excited to announce the inaugural edition of unitaryDESIGN, our newest online hackathon!

unitaryDESIGN encourages people to make contributions to the open source quantum ecosystem through the lens of community engagement and science communication. If you’ve ever participated in our annual unitaryHACK, this hackathon runs quite similarly but with more of a focus on repository documentation, data visualization, and overall science communication.

The event will run February 16-27, 2026, and hackers at all experience levels have the opportunity to win cash bounties!

Interested in participating in this new effort? Here’s what you can do right now:

• Check out the unitaryDESIGN website to learn more about the rules and take a peek at the participating projects
• Register for unitaryDESIGN through this link (give Airtable a minute to load)
• Join us on Discord to be the first to hear announcements and ask our team any questions you may have leading up to the event
• Share this opportunity with your friends and colleagues in other networks!
